Stellantis plans to join Acea “Joining forces”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Stellantis N.V. plans to join the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA).
“The European automotive industry is at a critical juncture, with a profound transformation underway toward zero-emission mobility, new competitive forces and a rapidly changing international environment,” a note reads. “At this important time, Stellantis believes it is critical to dialogue and develop a shared understanding of the challenges and ways to address them together. Stellantis believes that ACEA is the right platform to do so.
Stellantis looks forward to collaborating with other members of the association and joining in a common approach that preserves the transition, sustainability and competitiveness of the automotive industry and the interests of its communities.”
“Stellantis’ commitment to the transition to electrification is profound, thanks to our multi-energy technology, and we face the challenges of the European automotive industry with great responsibility. We believe ACEA is the right forum to dialogue with our colleagues and stakeholders and build together an action plan to support the entire value chain,” said Jean-Philippe Imparato, COO of Stellantis Enlarged Europe.
Subject to approval by the ACEA Council, membership will become effective as of January 1, 2025.
