ROME (ITALPRESS) – The new Mercedes-AMG high-performance SUV, which will be the second vehicle built on the all-electric AMG.EA architecture, has begun testing under winter conditions. This is an important step in the development process, as it includes testing in specialized facilities and on roads open to the public. Winter testing in northern Sweden is the first stop, the same place where the four-door coupe began its first testing season in the spring of this year. Now, the high-performance SUV, announced only a few weeks ago, will also undergo the demanding tests near the Arctic Circle. At temperatures well below freezing, the interaction of all components is tested thoroughly. The new SUV also shows the pioneering role of high-performance drive in the innovative all-electric architecture. This includes the use of axial-flow motors and a new high-performance battery concept.
