ROME (ITALPRESS) – The equivalent of a month-plus of vacation time. So many opportunities to be seized by Italian vacationers. Who in 2025 will be able to take advantage of numerous “bridges,” four more than this year, able to tone up domestic tourism, economic situation and financial availability permitting. This is estimated by a survey by CNA Tourism and Commerce.The “bridges” of 2025, whether or not scheduled on the calendar even in 2024, create opportunities for longer weekends and sudden strategic breaks. In detail, the additional “bridges” pivot on Epiphany, which falls on Jan. 6; Labor Day on May 1; Republic Day on June 2; and Immaculate Conception, which falls on Dec. 8.Overall, this additional month of holidays will push more than 12 million Italian vacationers to stay away from home, averaging between three and four nights per capita on “bridges” throughout the year for 45 million total overnight stays. The total turnover is quantified at 9 billion euros derived from hotel accommodations and eat&bere mainly, but also from spending on transportation, experiential activities, and cultural initiatives.
