Boehringer Ingelheim Italy opens offices in Rome

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Strengthening its presence in Italy and contributing to the development of the healthcare system through the sharing of expertise, partnerships with all players in the health system and a consolidated investment plan over time. With these goals in mind, Boehringer Ingelheim, announced today the opening of a new office in Rome, in Piazza di Monte Citorio, which will flank the headquarters in Milan and the production facilities already present in the country, where the Group has been operating for more than fifty years, employing about 1,000 people.”The opening of the Rome offices represents an important step for the Group both with a view to consolidating its ties with Italy, a strategic country for the development of our global network, and for greater proximity to the institutions, to which we have made ourselves available to contribute to the development of our Health System and, more generally, of the Italian System,” commented Morena Sangiovanni, President of Boehringer Ingelheim Group Italy.”In fact, we are committed to a constant and continuous investment plan in the country, to create value in terms of research and progress for health, promoting economic growth, innovation, and environmental sustainability. In line with Pnrr’s goals, Boehringer also aims to build a health care that is closer to people, attentive to their needs and oriented toward overcoming inequalities,” he added.Like all the company’s offices in Italy, the Roman offices also comply with strict sustainability criteria, consistent with the “Sustainable Development for Generations” strategy promoted by Boehringer on a global scale. As a result of this commitment, in December 2024, Boehringer Italia obtained carbon neutrality certification from TU’V Rheinland Energy & Environment, becoming the first company in the Group to achieve this globally, ahead of the goals set by the UN 2030 Agenda. The opening event of the new offices was attended by Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Sandra Savino.
