LUCCA (ITALPRESS) – It is at the moment one dead and one missing the balance of the collapse, probably due to a gas leak, of a small house in Sassi, in the municipality of Molazzana (Lucca) that occurred around midnight yesterday. Around 11 a.m. this morning, in fact, the body of a 68-year-old man from Singapore was found. Firefighters, medical, mountain rescue and carabinieri rushed to the scene. The 115 crews doused the flames and the search for the missing began. The house, owned by two foreign nationals, is located in an isolated area outside the village: it was purchased several years ago by the couple. The cottage was completely gutted by the explosion: the roar was heard miles away. Also on the scene were Usar specialists the dog and remotely piloted aircraft systems units of the fire department. The mayor of Molazzana, Andrea Talani, confirmed to the microphones of Rainews24 how “everything points to a gas leak and that the two owners may be under the rubble, this is because the car is parked in front of the house. We know that at 11 p.m. last night they left a restaurant in the area. The house has collapsed, there is very large debris, and vehicles have arrived to help the search.
