There are 38 dead and 29 survivors from the Christmas air disaster in Kazakhstan. According to some Russian media outlets, the cause of the disaster was linked to a missile from Moscow that may have accidentally hit the Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft.
The hypothesis was also picked up by some Ukrainian media and could be confirmed in the coming hours by the examination of the plane’s black box.
National mourning has been declared for today, December 26, in Azerbaijan.
