TURIN (ITALPRESS) – At the initiative of Managing Director and CEO Carlo Messina, Intesa Sanpaolo has donated the equivalent of Christmas gifts to four third-sector organizations committed to assisting sick and disabled children and their families. The support is part of the bank’s major program to combat inequality, which allocates 1.5 billion euros to social welfare by 2027. Per Carlo Messina, Managing Director and CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo, said, “Our poverty reduction program – 1.5 billion euros by 2027 – is one of the most impressive by a private entity in our country. This new initiative thinks of children entering life with severe difficulties and their families, to provide relief in these festive days. The Bank cares a lot about people with disabilities and sick people, toward whom it develops specific projects of support, whether they are colleagues or citizens through the support of dedicated associations.” The initiative is part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s commitment to social welfare, part of the 2022-2025 Business Plan. The bank connects Third Sector entities, companies and institutions according to a project that stands out for its ability to identify the need, multi-year planning, capillarity of interventions and plurality of actors involved. The four beneficiaries, already partners of Intesa Sanpaolo, are: VIDAS – pediatric hospice “Casa Sollievo” – Milan; FONDAZIONE GASLINI – health commuting for families of non-Genoese children – Genoa; DYNAMO CAMP – reception of children and youth with chronic and serious illnesses – Limestre (Pistoia); CENTRO SPORTIVO ITALIANO (CSI) – sports and childhood disability – National territory.
