ROME (ITALPRESS) – “As president of the Senate, to answer the question, I borrow the judgments not of the majority, not of the opposition, but of foreign observers. Foreign newspapers all testify to the novelty of this Italian government, which is credible and at the same time stable.” So says Senate President Ignazio La Russa in an interview with “Il Giornale” on how he judges the two years of the Meloni government. Then when asked if it is thanks to the Prime Minister that Italy is not in crisis like all other major European nations, he says, “Merit is always also a bit child of comparison. The greatest soccer player in the world is the one who is better than another one who is equally good or almost as good. Meloni certainly is a Ronaldo or a Messi of politics. What she calls luck is that I don’t see any others in Europe at her level right now. In addition to being a top, in comparison she emerges as a giant,” finally concluding, “The thing that characterizes the Meloni executive is the stability and credibility she has been able to give to this government.”
