FLORENCE (ITALPRESS) – Napoli beat Fiorentina 3-0 at home and, waiting for the recoveries of Atalanta and Inter, enjoys the lone top of the standings. A well-deserved victory for Di Lorenzo and his teammates even if the final score is a bit of a lie for the Viola, who for large stretches played it on an equal footing and could have scored at least the flagship goal. Too superior the Azzurri in the face of a formation, the Tuscan one, that appeared too timid in the first phase, and at least careless in the second half. The start of the match is of the host brand with Conte presenting Spinazzola in the offensive trident on the left, with Olivera covering his back. Precisely the latter scores as early as 15′ but the goal is correctly disallowed for a double offside. The Parthenopeans dominate in midfield although De Gea makes the only real save on a right-footed Spinazzola shot. Palladino’s chosen 3-4-2-1 form, with Dodò and Parisi on the outside in midfield, actually sees the two constantly dropping back on the defensive line to limit the rivals’ flurries, but when Neres accelerates at 29′ there is nothing to be done and the Brazilian scores a stupendous goal. Fiorentina at that point woke up and reacted immediately but the goal scored by Kean on Sottil’s assist was annulled due to a hand foul by the lily-colored center forward. At the beginning of the second half Napoli doubled with Lukaku who from the penalty spot cleared De Gea after a clear foul committed in the box by a naive Moreno on Anguissa. Just before the hour of play Palladino goes back to the 4-3-3, replacing Parisi and Moreno at the same time and inserting Gosens and Colpani. At this point the protagonist becomes Meret who first denies Mandragora and then Beltran the purple 1-2. McTominay finally closed the game at 68′ taking advantage of the only mistake in the whole match by Comuzzo. In the final twenty minutes the Viola tried all the way to score at least one goal but failed to do so. At the final triple whistle it is a big celebration under the guest sector even if Olivera’s injury almost in the recovery does not leave Conte fully serene.- photo Image – (ITALPRESS).
