ROME (ITALPRESS) – A ‘hot’ derby that did not disappoint expectations. Great show at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, where in front of almost 18 thousand spectators the two Los Angeles franchises faced each other on the Italian night of the NBA regular-season. Putting the victory in the trophy case were the Clippers, who prevailed over the Lakers 116-102 with 22 points from Powell and 21 apiece from Harden and Zubac, and despite the 25 sealed among the rivals by James, the most prolific of the encounter. Oklahoma City smiles again: the Thunder dominated the Brooklyn Nets 127-101, taking advantage of the scoring streak of Gilgeous-Alexander and Joe, who were able to contribute 27 and 24 points, respectively, to the cause. Houston avalanche on the Portland Trail Blazers’ parquet: the Rockets party with an eloquent 125-103, the result of the great night of the ‘trident’ formed by Green (26 points), Sengun (23) and Brooks (23). Miami also had very little trouble in destroying, on a friendly court, the San Antonio Spurs’ vies: Miami’s show up to the final 128-107, a result that bears the signature of Ware, author of 25 points against the 23 of Vassell. Sixth consecutive away win for Denver: the Nuggets violate the Orlando Magic 113-100 and enjoy yet another triple-double by Jokic (20 points, as well as his teammate Braun, 14 rebounds and 10 assists). Unceremonious success for Milwaukee and Sacramento: the Bucks rule the Philadelphia 76ers 123-109 with 34 points from Antetokounmpo and 25 from Lillard (but Maxey, for the host quintet, scores an impressive 37); the Kings knock out the Washington Wizards 123-100 with 29 points from Sabonis, 24 from DeRozan and 23 from Monk.
