BRUSSELS (BELGIUM) (ITALPRESS) – The 101st edition of the Brussels Motor Show 2025 is recording an extraordinary turnout of visitors, confirming it as one of the most anticipated events on the international automotive scene. And on this stage of excellence, the Lancia brand shines the most with its latest creations, which represent the perfect combination of tradition, innovation and timeless design.
In fact, the general public is flocking in large numbers to the Italian brand’s stand to admire the New Ypsilon, offered in Hybrid and Electric variants, and the gritty Ypsilon Rally4 HF, symbol of Lancia’s return to the world of rallying. And with the same enthusiasm were welcomed Luca Napolitano, CEO of Lancia, and rally legend Miki Biasion, protagonists of the press conference held on January 10.
At the appointment reserved for the international press and industry insiders, Lancia’s top manager took stock of the brand’s Renaissance, that is, the strategic plan launched in 2021 with which the brand returns, with authority and prestige, to the European premium market. In particular, Napolitano highlighted how the promises made have all been fulfilled, starting with the launch last April of the first car of Lancia’s new era, the New Ypsilon, which is winning praise everywhere. “Our renaissance is proceeding at a rapid pace, and 2025 will be a crucial year in our roadmap, as it will mark both Lancia’s return to motorsport, with the aim of reaffirming its presence in contemporary motorsport competitions, and the debut of the 280-hp New Ypsilon HF in the middle of the year, which will relaunch the glorious HF badge, and then arrive on the Lancia Gamma as the ‘HF Integral. Speaking of the new flagship, we confirm that it will be produced, starting in 2026, at the iconic Melfi plant, one of the Stellantis Group’s plants of excellence. In short, Lancia is looking to the future with passion and ambition, continually raising the bar higher for its next goals,” said Luca Napolitano.
Undoubtedly the highlight of the first day was the arrival of Miki Biasion on the Lancia stand. Welcomed by the applause of the audience and the flash of photographers, the two-time world champion baptized the new Ypsilon Rally 4 HF equipped with a 212-horsepower 1.2 Turbo engine, five-speed SADEV gearbox and Ohilns adjustable suspension. After all, the tuning of this race car was taken care of by this genuine motorsport legend who, between the 1980s and 1990s, inextricably linked his name to Lancia, becoming the most successful Italian driver of all time.
“If as a child your dream was the track, then your dream was as red as a Ferrari. But if you dreamed of being a rally driver, then your dream was called Lancia. I am honored to have worked together with the teams at Lancia and Stellantis Motorsport in tuning the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF. Not to mention that this race car represents a real opportunity for young talent to emerge, thanks to the Lancia Trophy, which includes six races in the 2025 Italian Rally Championship and a prize money of 300,000 euros. The Lancia of victories and races is back and I am more than happy to be part of it,” commented Miki Biasion.
