ROME (ITALPRESS) – “On November 28, 2024, in the early hours of the morning, at the registered office of Italferr S.p.A. – Company of the FS Group – some individuals unduly broke into the company area designated for uncovered parking, causing the burning of 17 vehicles (company and private) through the very rapid placement of flaming material on the tires. Only three days later, a further arson event occurred, resulting in the burning of two car bodies, which had already been partially destroyed on the previous occasion. On Dec. 3, 2024, on some blogs run by anarchist-insurrectionist bangs, the arson attack on the Italferr headquarters was claimed.” This was said by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Matteo Salvini in the urgent briefing on the situation of the national rail network in the House Chamber. “From there on, we witnessed a worrying escalation that we never wanted to highlight out of a sense of responsibility and pending the gathering of more precise information also in light of the investigations and complaints.” Salvini added: “After the necessary investigations in recent weeks, we have a picture of arson, explosions, breakdowns, ruptures and electrical problems, episodes that occurred with regularity and – what a coincidence – after the public denunciations and exposés, did not occur again, so much so that circulation has returned to regular with very rare exceptions,largely due to bad weather.”
