BOLOGNA (ITALPRESS) – The first victory in the Champions League finally arrived for Bologna, which accomplished a real feat in its last home match: a 2-1 comeback win over Borussia Dortmund, overturning the result in a minute. They immediately push the Rossoblù, cheered on by a very warm Dall’Ara, but do not break through. As the minutes go by, the guests rise in tone and it is Borussia Dortmund itself that goes through after a quarter of an hour. On the development of a corner here is Holm’s foul (cautioned) on Anton, Guirassy does not miss from the penalty spot and it is 1-0. The red and blue reaction is immediate, with Ndoye inspiring for Castro and a save by Duranville. Ferguson and Orsolini also tried, forcing Kobel into a miracle and having to give up at 34′: serious hamstring problem, the outfielder exited in tears. The injury snuffed out the Felsinei’s momentum, and Bologna woke up only after Odgaard’s entrance at halftime, which further raised the center of gravity. Ndoye tries a reverse and, after this risk, Dortmund tries to cover itself with Emre Can. The yellow-and-whites waste a possible encore with Guirassy and are immediately punished: Odgaard sprints down the left, ball to Dallinga and 1-1 from two steps (71′). Not even time to get back into the game, that comes the encore with the former Toulouse again protagonist: shot bricked by Kobel, but on the rebound Iling-Junior scores Bologna’s lead. It is 72′ and Borussia Dortmund cannot believe it: they were in full control and conceded two goals in fifty seconds, in the full mirror of BVB’s disastrous season (10th in the Bundesliga). From here on it is a veritable domination for Bologna, which also came close to a hat-trick with Odgaard and Ndoye, stroking the first three points in this Champions League. In the final Borussia Dortmund resigns itself to a defeat that, perhaps, will spell the end of Nuri Sahin’s experience as yellow and red coach. So it ends 2-1 and BVB loses its momentary top-8 finish, stopping at 12 points and slipping to 13th place. Bologna climbs to five points and is virtually out of the Champions League: tomorrow’s match between PSG and Man City should sanction the arithmetic elimination of the Rossoblù, now -3 from 24th place with a very bad goal difference.- Photo Image -(ITALPRESS).
