ROME (ITALPRESS) – An outside defeat for Detroit on Italian night of the NBA regular-season. In front of nearly 20,000 spectators at Orlando’s Kia Center, the Pistons succumbed 121-113 to the Magic, dragged by 32 points apiece from Banchero and Wagner; among the guests, Cunningham, the match’s top-scorer, scored 35, while Italy’s Simone Fontecchio finished with just 3 rebounds and an assist in 17 minutes of use. It goes to the Los Angeles Lakers the California derby with the Golden State Warriors: in San Francisco, coach Redick’s quintet wins 118-108 taking advantage of the scoring streak of Davis and James, who contribute to the Lakers’ cause by signing 36 and 25 points respectively. Third consecutive home loss for the Cleveland Cavaliers, who surrendered to the Houston Rockets 135-131 although, among the hosts, Garland and Mitchell strung together a combined 72 points (26 by Turkey’s Sengun for the Texas franchise). It was also all rather easy for the Memphis Grizzlies, who prevailed in the friendly facility over the Utah Jazz 125-103 by virtue, first and foremost, of 28 points scored by Jackson. They party on the road for the Boston Celtics: the defending champions conquer the Dallas Mavericks’ court 122-107 with 24 points by Tatum and 23 by White in a remake of the last NBA Finals.
