New Dacia Duster at ease on the road but also off-road

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Voted Europe Car 2025, Dacia Duster with its third generation has renewed the success of previous editions, with as many as 320 thousand “dusterists” in our country alone. From low-cost SUV to becoming almost an instant classic, the step was short. Totally renewed in quality, design, technological content and comfort, Duster represents an almost unique offer in the market. A concrete product, capable of everyday adventures but at the same time offering a reference purchase and operating cost in the category. The new and unprecedented hybrid powertrains, then, expand the product range even more, allowing us to offer customers a compact SUV that is also modern and up-to-date, but still concrete, with a level of technology required by today’s customer. With this in mind, a hybrid version has arrived, the Hybrid 140 equipped with a 1.6-liter, 94-horsepower 4-cylinder gasoline, joined by a 49-horsepower engine and a high-voltage starter/generator, managed by an electrified automatic transmission. All without a clutch. Thanks to regenerative braking, combined with the strong energy recovery capacity of the 1.2 kWh, 230-volt battery and the efficiency of the automatic transmission, it will be possible to drive around town up to 80 percent of the time in 100 percent electric mode, reduce fuel consumption by 20 percent in mixed cycles and up to 40 percent in urban cycles. In addition to the hybrid version, the TCe 130, a first for the Romanian brand, is now available, combining a new-generation 3-cylinder 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine based on the Miller cycle with a 48V mild hybrid system. The transmission here is a 6-speed manual, for both front-wheel drive and 4×4 versions. New Duster TCe 130 4×4 proves capable of tackling the most difficult passages. It is light, compact but extremely effective off-road as well. Looking at it from the outside, however, we can see that it has a higher ground clearance than the 4×2 version (almost 1 cm more) and is 217 mm, the best in the B SUV segment. As for the characteristic angles that are fundamental in offroad driving, we can appreciate that the new generation improves in all aspects. If the old Duster 4×4 had a 30° angle of attack, the new one rises to 31°. The bump angle then increases from 21° to 24° and the exit angle from 33° to an impressive 36°. Benchmark values that hint at New Duster’s ability to tackle even the most difficult passages. Of course, one of the workhorses of previous Duster versions could not be missing, the ECO-G 100 with bifuel gasoline-LPG fueling, which allows a range of up to 1,400 km. Thanks to the CMF-B platform, already used for Sandero, Logan and Jogger, the New Duster also has improved dynamic behavior. Thus, off-road performance also improves. Also new is the multimedia system featuring a 10.1″ central touchscreen with Media Nav Live system that adds connected navigation with real-time information on traffic conditions and maps updated for 8 years. Four versions are available: the entry-level Essential, the Espression, the Journey and the Extreme. For the Essential, listed only with the Eco-G 100 engine, the cost is 19,900 which becomes 21,600 for the Espression, also with the same engine and 26,400 for the Tce 130 4×4 version. For the Journey it ranges from 23,100 for the bi-fuel, to 27,900 for the Hybrid 140. For the Extreme, you still need 23,100 for the Eco-G 100, while for both the all-wheel drive version and the full hybrid, the turnkey cost is 27,900.
