Bologna enters Europe zone, Como beaten 2-0

BOLOGNA (ITALPRESS) – An excellent Bologna overcame Como 2-0 and entered the Europa Zone. It was De Silvestri’s goals in the first half and Fabbian’s in the second half that steered the challenge in favor of the hosts. Thanks to this victory, Bologna thus climbs to 37 points in the standings, joining Juventus in fifth place. Como, on the other hand, remains in sixth-last position, with 22 points to their credit and two points ahead of the relegation zone. Not even two minutes later, Butez has to lift a Lykogiannis’ insidious free kick over the crossbar. The French goalkeeper is saved again on 14′, when Lucumi hits the crossbar hard on a shot that came from a corner kicked again by Lykogiannis. The Reds played better and at 25′ deservedly took the lead. The usual Lykogiannis brushed a kissing cross from the left side on which captain De Silvestri ventured, whose header pierced Butez for 1-0. At 38′, Fadera commits a glaring ingenuity by blatantly protesting to the referee on two occasions in the same action. The referee cautioned him twice within seconds and sent him prematurely to the locker room, with the guests forced to play in numerical inferiority for the rest of the match. Moments earlier, Italiano’s men had come close to doubling the score with a crossbar hit by Dallinga. The first half ended 1-0. The first ring of the Larians came at 6′ of the second half, when Diao returned from the left skipping past Moro and went for a right-footed shot from outside the box, with the ball slipping just to the right of the post. The Emilians returned to attack and at 21′ signed the 2-0. Dominguez opened for Miranda, who from the left side crossed centrally to Fabbian, who slotted in with the right timing and beat Butez on the volley with his right for 2-0. Fabregas’s team came up again five minutes later, when Skorupski deflects a treacherous left-footer by newcomer Ikonè, who arrived in the group in recent hours from Fiorentina. The newly-promoted side went close to 2-1 in the 35′, when Moro risked an own goal with a header that hit the crossbar at the end of an action born from a cross from the right by Strefezza. In the midst of the recovery there is still room for a great save by Skorupski on a free kick from the edge by Nico Paz. It will be the last excitement of the match. – Ipa Agency photo -(ITALPRESS).
