Sports and tourism, Fis at Bit 2025 at Fiera Milano-Rho

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Fencing gives, fencing receives. It is a virtuous binomial that between sport and tourism, an exchange that enhances as much an “itinerant” discipline in the development of its competitive activity as the territories that host it. To analyze and develop these issues, on February 10 and 11, the Italian Fencing Federation will participate in the International Tourism Exchange 2025 at the Fiera Milano-Rho. New location and also new institutional comparisons for the FIS, which, in addition to being present in the exhibition area with its own stand, will be the protagonist of three different panels dedicated to some of the highlights, national and international in scope, but also partnerships that have enriched relations and horizons of Italian fencing. In the presence of the newly appointed federal president Luigi Mazzone, in fact, on Monday, February 10 – at 11 a.m., in the BIT 3 room of Pavilion 11 – there will be an in-depth discussion reserved for the European Absolute Championships in Genoa, scheduled from June 14 to 19, 2025, the first major event of the new four-year Olympic period, which will be analyzed from the tourism point of view, with assessments of the impact that the continental kermis will have in the Ligurian capital, which is among the Federscherma’s City Partners, and in the entire region. On the same day, at 1 p.m., again in Hall 9 but in BIT Room 2, the focus will shift to three stages of the Italian Championships 2025. On stage, representatives of two other City Partners such as Salsomaggiore, where the Under 23 titles will be awarded from March 21 to 23, and Piacenza, home the following week of the Tricolori team titles from A2 to C series, together with the delegation of Siena, which at the end of May will be the “home” of the Italian Paralympic and Blind Championships, will tell about the approach of their respective territories to appointments that will go far beyond the competitive aspect by activating synergies and initiatives under the banner of tourism and culture.
