Almasri is accused of beating, raping and killing, but in spite of this he is released from prison and put on a state plane with full honors, only to be welcomed back to his country as a hero: Meloni said he would hunt down traffickers all over the world, instead he sends them home with the fastest repatriation in the history of Italy. Your inaction caused the release, and today you admitted it was a political choice. If there was a procedural loophole involved, I would like to understand why Almasri was not arrested again a minute later and lied to the country: a minister must pass on the acts, not evaluate them in a discretionary manner.”
