In this context,” the minister continued, “listening carefully to the needs and proposals of operators proves to be a fundamental key to the success of the sector. It is precisely thanks to this collaborative approach that we have been able to push forward epoch-making measures that no previous government had dealt with, such as the reform of short term rentals and the one related to tour guides, which has been awaited for more than a decade and to date has more than 6,000 applications for the exam. And we are continuing to work to increase the quality of services and become more competitive in the global market. The results can already be seen – added Santanchè -. 2024 continues in the wake of the historical record of 2023, and could even do better, with an estimate of +2% on presences, as well as a growing appeal of the ‘Italià brand on foreign tourists: in the third quarter of the year, inbound increased by +7.7%, touching its peak in July, with 40 million presences.
