Jeep and freedom as told by Harrison Ford

TURIN (ITALPRESS) – Actor Harrison Ford stars in the Jeep brand’s Big Game commercial aired last night, with which Jeep surprised the U.S. TV audience. Stellantis the only automaker to air commercials during this year’s Big Game, with appearances by both Jeep and Ram Trucks. The 120″ film “Owner’s Manual” was directed by Oscar®-nominated director James Mangold (“A Complete Unknown,” “Ford v Ferrari,” “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” “The Wolverine”). “Owner’s Manual” was produced by Minted Content in collaboration with Stellantis, thanks to the work of Harrison Ford, James Mangold and Olivier Francois, Advertising Hall of Fame member and Emmy Award-winning Global Chief Marketing Officer of Stellantis, to create a film that stands out for its intimate and thoughtful storytelling. The filamto stars legendary film actor Harrison Ford, who talks about the fact that with all the endless possibilities that life offers, people, unlike cars, do not have the benefit of an owner’s manual to help guide their decisions; therefore, in the end each person chooses what makes them happiest.?Ford says in the film, “Choose what makes you happy. My friends, my family, my job make me happy. This Jeep (Wrangler 4xe) makes me happy — even though my name is Ford. This is my owner’s manual. Get out there. Write your own.” “Together with Harrison Ford and Oscar®-nominated director James Mangold, we worked closely to create an intimate film that stood out for its quiet nature, unlike what viewers have come to expect from Big Game commercials, but very consistent with many of our past films for the event over the years. I am very proud of this in-house creation, a first for Stellantis for a Big Game commercial. It sets a new standard and creates a more meaningful and authentic way to collaborate with the most respected artists in the industry,” said Olivier François, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Stellantis. “I accepted this collaboration because of the script. It is a very direct communication about life, in a natural parallelism with Jeep SUVs, a logical hook. It did not require me to reintroduce myself, emphasizing the fact that I have been many things in my life and am known for specific projects or roles. It’s just a quiet chat from someone who shares an idea. I love the way it has developed,” Harrison Ford said. “Born in battle and forged in steel in 1941, the Jeep brand has represented freedom and adventure, pushing boundaries, taking on competition and overcoming every obstacle for more than 80 years. In this year’s Big Game commercial, the Jeep brand has boy who quintessentially embodies adventure both on and off screen. In film, Harrison Ford has overcome the odds and flown across the galaxy in the name of freedom, and in real life he is known to chart his own path. So yes, Ford is an ideal face to talk about Jeep. As America’s most patriotic brand for the past 23 consecutive years, it makes sense that the Jeep brand continues to be one of the Big Game’s biggest creative advocates. And there was no greater stage for this statement from Harrison Ford to the American public: Jeep makes him happy,” concluded Bob Broderdorf, CEO of the Jeep brand.
