MUNICH (GERMANY) (ITALPRESS) – “The fate of this war cannot be determined by just a few leaders: not Trump and Putin, nor me and Putin, no one here in Munich together with Putin. We must unite to achieve true peace.” This was said by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his speech at the Munich Security Conference. “Putin cannot offer real security guarantees. Not only because he is a liar, but also because Russia in its current situation needs war to maintain power. And the world needs to be protected from that,” stressed Zelensky who proposes “a European army as an enhancement of NATO,” secondly “a common European foreign policy,” as a third point “a level of European cooperation that Washington takes seriously.” Fourth, “respect for international law,” and fifth, “continued pressure on Russia, because it is this pressure that guarantees peace, not Putin’s words.” For Zelensky, the Russian president “is lying and is weak. We must take advantage of this now, not later. And we must act as Europe, not as a group of disparate individuals.”
