ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Tortu and Jacobs case? I talked to Filippo and texted with Marcell. I know they talked to each other, it made me happy.” These are the statements of Giovanni Malagò, president of Coni, in today’s post-Junta conference. “Tortu is serene, I have no doubt that he is uninvolved in the affair,” added the number one of Italian sports. “I understand Jacobs’ state of mind, he cannot be happy. There are sports and non-sports investigative bodies that are looking at things,” the words of the Coni number one. “If Sinner sets a precedent? I have always been diplomatic even if some aspects are puzzling. If one has an institutional role I think it is preferable to avoid debating these aspects publicly. Before Sinner there have been Wada situations that have left us perplexed, but if we start commenting on the judgments there is no end to the debate,” explained the number one of Italian sports on the Sinner case. “And I would add that I do not think that some statements made by people in the world of sports have been helpful.”- Photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS)
