Bernini “All that’s missing for medical access reform is the House’s okay.”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “A step forward toward the reform of Medicine. The 7th Commission on Culture, Science and Education in Montecitorio has approved the proxy bill revolutionizing access to degree programs in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics and Veterinary Medicine. Now all that is missing is the green light from the House.” This was written on X by the Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, adding that “we are working so that the new rules come into force as early as next academic year, putting transparency, fairness and merit at the center. Let’s overcome an unfair and inequitable selection system and build a path that truly enhances skills, aiming for educational excellence. “Governing means choosing, with responsibility and concreteness. Our goal? To give students all the tools to cultivate their talents, without having to go abroad to realize their dreams,” Bernini stresses. “In the coming years we will be able to train at least 30,000 more new doctors, guaranteeing quality training and responding to the need for professionals in our health care system. “We have a great responsibility: not to disappoint the expectations, dreams and ambitions of thousands of young people. And we are ready to deliver on that commitment,” he concludes.
