New Duster with 4×4 traction arrives

ROME (ITALPRESS) – The new Dacia Duster offers lovers of outdoor activities a serene ride and off-road qualities unique in the market for “non-specialized” all-wheel drive vehicles, i.e., 4×4s not equipped with a gearbox at the transmission.New Duster is available with 4×4 traction and Terrain Control, which can be managed through 5 driving modes. Auto, with the system automatically manages torque between the front and rear axles depending on grip and speed. Snow, which optimizes trajectories on slippery roads through specific settings of the stability control and traction control system. Mud/Sand, for riding on unstable surfaces, such as muddy or sandy trails. Off-road, which offers the best off-road capabilities on difficult trails. In terms of performance, it is very similar to the 4×4 lock mode of the previous Duster, but goes further, automatically and optimally distributing torque between the front and rear wheels depending on the grip conditions detected and vehicle speed. Eco, which optimizes fuel consumption by acting on climate control and vehicle performance. It optimizes torque distribution between front and rear to limit fuel consumption while simultaneously adapting to road grip conditions. Ground clearance is off-road-proof: 217 mm (measured between the axles) in the all-wheel drive version. More favorable approach and departure angles, in all-wheel drive versions, up to 31° at the front and 36° at the rear, and bump angle of 24°.Downhill speed control system. This system is particularly useful for off-road driving and steep, slippery descents. It acts mainly on the brakes to avoid losing control of the vehicle and thus ensure proper speed (depending on driver input) from 0 to 30 km/h. The system works on all gear ratios, including reverse gear. The driver no longer has to worry about the accelerator and brake pedals, only the steering wheel for vehicle directionality. A lot of information that is particularly useful for off-road driving appears on the 10.1″ central display, such as the vehicle’s right/left side tilt ngle, pitch angle for evaluating uphill and downhill slopes, and torque split between front and rear axle (in the all-wheel drive version. ed.).On the outside, the body is now protected from small bumps and scratches on all sides. The side guards form a whole with the wheel arch guards and the front and rear bumpers, forming a true belt. Below the bumpers, large plates protect the underbody.Inside we find, as standard in the Extreme trim, washable TEP microcloud upholstery, rubber floor mats front, rear and also in the luggage compartment. The exterior guards are made of StarkleR, an innovative material made up of 20 percent recycled materials.Front and rear skid plates are originally dyed. The injected plastic material that makes up the body of the component is already dyed. It is therefore an unalterable color, unlike classic paint layers. The inevitable bumps and scratches that these elements suffer may leave traces, but these will be almost invisible, as the original color is also present below the surface. For those who would like to add to their Duster, the Sleep Pack is available, which includes 3 essential features: a double bed (1.90 meters long and up to 1.30 meters wide) that can also be opened by themselves in less than two minutes, a side table and a storage area. Finally, the unique roof rack that is the ideal partner for outdoor activities. Simply attach it transversely to the modular roof rails or transverse roof rails available after market that can hold a maximum dynamic vehicle roof weight of 80 kg. Prices range from 26,400 euros for the Expression version to 27,900 for the Extreme, both with the TCe 130 morization.
