ROME (ITALPRESS) – “They are all well and are all enlisted and available.” Claudio Ranieri is spoilt for choice on the eve of the Europa League round of 16 first leg against Athletic Bilbao at the Stadio Olimpico.
“The Hummels situation? I understand when things go wrong, but I don’t understand why look for these things now. He is a guy who is in Rome, he goes to see the city and he is quiet. There is nothing. I get along with everyone,” Ranieri added in reference to the German defender’s latest Instagram post (“The Oscar for the longest vacation goes to…”), which according to some fans had a controversial note in light of the latest exclusions.
On Pellegrini: “He has fun too, but he doesn’t show it. He is a very introverted guy, I would like him to have more fun because he has qualities that few players have. Between tonight and tomorrow morning I will make all the evaluations, then I will decide who will play. Experience counts a lot, I have players who are used to playing at certain levels,” the words of the Giallorossi coach.
On upcoming opponents: “This is a fourth-ranked, well-built team with a wonderful sense of belonging. Nico Williams?
