CALTANISSETTA (ITALPRESS) – Financiers from the Caltanissetta Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza, as part of economic-financial police activities, have completed a major operation in the area of countering the illegal trade in doping products and non-prescription drugs.
The activity, initiated in the year 2024 by the Armed Forces of the Group of Caltanissetta through economic control of the territory and analysis of sales by means of the Internet and well-known social networks, allowed to reveal the existence of a commercial network dedicated to the trafficking of anabolic substances of foreign origin, aimed at supplying gyms and, more generally, consumers present within the Province.
The entire operation, dubbed “heavyweights,” on several occasions resulted in the interception and seizure of a total of more than 30,000 doses of illegal anabolic products and drugs, divided into capsules and vials, for which there is a compulsory prescription, with a turnover of around 100,000 euros.
