PARIS (FRANCE) (ITALPRESS) — French President Emmanuel Macron has announced an address to the nation this evening concerning Ukraine and the international situation. “At this moment of great uncertainty, while the world is facing its greatest challenges, I will address you tonight,” the Elysee holder wrote on X.
According to French broadcaster “Bfmtv,” which cites Macron’s entourage, the head of state will first emphasize “the acceleration resulting from U.S. President Donald Trump’s determination to end the war in Ukraine at all costs” by negotiating directly “with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.” Macron’s speech comes the evening before the extraordinary EU defense summit scheduled for tomorrow in Brussels and after Trump’s announcement of a suspension of U.S. military aid to Kiev.
