ROME (ITALPRESS) – Giorgia Santini is the new secretary general of the Italian Motorcycle Federation. 45 years old, in 2006 she graduated in Law from the University of Roma Tre, successfully completed the Advanced Training Course in Sports Law and the Level II University Master’s Degree in “Sports Law and Economics” at the LUMSA University in Rome. She joined the staff of the Italian Motorcycling Federation in 2008, and in 2020 she assumed the role of Coordinator of the Operation Area. In 2023, she was given the position of Deputy Secretary General and last March 1 was appointed Secretary General by the Federal Council. She is the first female Secretary General in the history of the Italian Motorcycle Federation and takes over from Alberto Rinaldelli who has reached retirement age after having represented, for more than 20 years, a reference for the IMF, contributing significantly to making it a modern, structured Federation capable of facing continuous challenges.
“I am particularly proud that Giorgia Santini, who grew up within the Italian Motorcycle Federation, has become a point of reference to the point of being appointed its Secretary General. Her expertise and reliability will be fundamental in facing together the current and future challenges, with the common goal of continuing to meet the demands of our Moto Clubs, members and all motorcyclists. We have done this, I believe successfully, together with Alberto Rinaldelli, a friend as well as a colleague whom I deeply respect. I would like to thank him for the strong and constant commitment with which, in his more than 20-year career with the FMI, he has worked without ever sparing himself,” the words of Giovanni Copioli, FMI president.
“I thank President Giovanni Copioli and the Federal Council for appointing me Secretary General, a role of utmost responsibility both in administrative terms and in terms of managing the Federation’s internal human resources. I will have the pleasure of working side by side with the President and the Councilors, sharing objectives and goals. I take this opportunity to sincerely thank Alberto Rinaldelli, whose work has brought the IMF to be a point of reference for the Italian and international sporting world. First and foremost, however, he has been for me an example of perseverance and passion for his work. Values that I share, that I will put into practice and that I hope will continue to inspire all the work of the Italian Motorcycle Federation,” the comment of Giorgia Santini, newly appointed FMI secretary general.
