Zaynab Dosso flies to Apeldoorn, is gold medalist in 60 meters

APELDOORN (HOLLAND) (ITALPRESS) – Zaynab Dosso flies at the European Indoor Track and Field Championships, staged in Apeldoorn, Netherlands. The 25-year-old Italian sprinter of the Fiamme Azzurre ran in 7″01 and won the gold medal in the women’s 60 meters, signing the Italian record and the best world seasonal performance.

Beat Switzerland’s Mujinga Kambundji (7″02, with season best), silver, and Luxembourg’s Patrizia Van der Weken (7″06), bornzo. Fourth was Poland’s Ewa Svoboda (7″07).

“I’m very happy, because I wanted this gold – the words of the Italian woman to the Raisport microphones – I did well to make a very good ‘second start’. I am happy for my team and for my coach. Our efforts paid off. When I enter the track I always want to get to the front. I am growing day by day and feel more and more mature and solid.”
