Little patients of ‘Bambino Gesù’ dedicate drawings to the Pope

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Dear Pope I suggest you read lots of books,” suggests Eugenio; “Dear Pope I suggest you get a playstation,” writes Alex instead. Little patients of the Bambino Gesù made many drawings with ‘advice’ on how to spend time addressed to Pope Francis who, like them, has been hospitalized for weeks.

Suggestions included getting treatment along with the little ones at the Bambino Gesù, a hospital on the Janiculum Hill from which the dome of St. Peter’s can be seen: “Dear Francesco, get yourself admitted to our hospital… look at that beautiful view! Your house is there too,” writes Giulia. Not only advice, but also messages of closeness for a speedy recovery. “My prayer for you” reads Nico’s drawing.

And again “Dear Pope Francis, we pray for you that your hospitalization will be lighter,” write mom Olga and Alexander. “You and I together,” Claudia holds hands with Pope Francis in her drawing. Giulia, Eugenio, Evelina, Aldo, Amelia, Sofia, Alex, and Nicole, on the other hand, dedicate a poem to the pontiff: “The pope in the hospital, makes us all feel bad, we think him poor, who feels ill. With affection we tell him, come on Francis for you we pray.”
