MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Kia Europe is celebrating reaching 1.5 million Kia Connect users, an important milestone in the evolution of the Korean brand’s vehicle connectivity system. “Since its launch in 2019, Kia Connect has highlighted Kia’s commitment and efforts in delivering increasingly innovative and customer-centric solutions,” said Pablo Martìnez Masip, Vice President Product & Marketing at Kia Europe and COO of Kia Connect. “By offering seamless total connectivity, high-tech features and highly personalized services, Kia Connect has, in fact, transformed the driving experience for millions of users across Europe.”
The audience of Kia Connect users reflects a wide range of drivers who have decided to embrace the full potential of connected mobility. Proposed under the name “UVO Connect” in 2019 it has, as of now, garnered 32,500 users. Over the years, Kia Connect has shown exponential growth, with numbers more than tripling between 2021 and 2024, in particular marking a 32 percent increase in users between 2023 and 2024. This significant growth reflects not only the widespread desire to adopt connected technology, but also Kia’s commitment and ability to provide valuable solutions to its customers. “Today, in Europe, nearly 94 percent of Kia owners actively use Kia Connect,” said Olivier Pascal, General Manager Connect Cars at Kia Connect. “In 13 of the 28 countries where Kia Europe is present, the percentage exceeds this average. EV owners with an active account, in particular, are the most engaged users and represent 95 percent of Kia EV owners.”
Kia Connect offers a wide suite of features designed to meet diverse needs. By giving new value, the platform has redefined the convenience, safety and efficiency aspects of operating a vehicle. Services such as Remote Vehicle Status Check, Vehicle Diagnostics and Find My Car are among the most widely used. Other features include Remote Services, which allow control and operation over key functions such as charging, climate setting, and closing/opening the vehicle via app; real-time alerts in case of emergencies; and integration with smart infrastructure for the benefit of safety, as well as the ability to make in-car payments via the InCar Payment system. Periodic Over The Air (OTA) updates keep Kia models on the cutting edge.
