Russia, Peskov “On truce in Ukraine you are rushing too fast, we want details”

MOSCOW (RUSSIA) (ITALPRESS) – Russian President’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov urged “not to run too fast” when answering a question about Russia’s reaction to the proposed 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine. “You are rushing a bit too much. We don’t want to do that. Yesterday, when talking to the press, both Rubio and Waltz said they would send us detailed information about the essence of the conversation that took place in Jeddah through various channels,” Peskov told reporters at a press point.

“First we need to get this information. These days,” he added, “we have also planned contacts with the Americans, during which we expect to receive complete information.

According to Peskov, there are also opportunities for economic cooperation between Russia and the United States, including in the development of rare earths. However, there is no discussion of this yet. “President Putin spoke of potential opportunities for broad interaction and cooperation in the field of a wide range of economic projects, including the area you mentioned,” the Kremlin spokesman said. “Such opportunities exist, but so far they have not been discussed,” he concluded.

Contacts between Washington and Moscow on the Ukrainian dossier are expected later today. This was disclosed by the U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, as reported by the Guardian. The United States, Rubio added, hopes to have a positive response from Russia and “strongly urge the Russians to end all hostilities.”
