ASTI (ITALPRESS) – State Police in Asti, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, have arrested two Pakistani nationals for kidnapping, robbery, attempted extortion, attempted murder and aiding and abetting illegal immigration. The two are accused of kidnapping a fellow citizen after promising to help him leave Italy illegally.
The victim was robbed of his cell phone, passport, and demanded a large sum of money. Upon his refusal, he was first roughed up and then held for several minutes upside down from the balcony on the third floor of an apartment building until the two assailants dropped him. The man miraculously survived, but is still hospitalized to try to regain mobility in his lower limbs.
