Mase, Ecodesign table set up to enhance innovation

ROME (ITALPRESS) – The Ecodesign Table, established as part of the National Circular Economy Strategy to strengthen sustainable design policies, took office today at Mase.

This is a key step for Italy, which aims to proactively steer community choices and enhance the innovations already underway in the national industrial system, without penalizing production and research chains.

The Table, which brings together institutions, research organizations and industry associations, will support the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2024/1781, which introduces rules to make products greener and reduce their environmental impact. Among the novelties is the digital product passport, which will not only be a control system but also a way to make European products more competitive. “This tool will be able to have a positive impact in many sectors, for example in textiles and fashion, helping to combat fast fashion, waste and protect a key sector for Italy,” commented Sustainable Development Department Head Laura D’Aprile.
