RAGUSA (ITALPRESS) – Gianni Cavalieri, president of Despar Italy and Syneos, has died at the age of 69. He was born in Ragusa on Oct. 26, 1955. “An entrepreneur of great vision and a key figure in Distribution,” reads a Despar Italia note, “Gianni Cavalieri successfully led Ergon, a company that is the concessionaire of the Despar, Eurospar, Interspar, and Altasfera brands and owner of the Ard Discount brand, for years. Under his presidency, Ergon became part of the Despar Italia Consortium, strengthening the brand in southern Italy and expanding its sales network. In 2022, he was appointed chairman of Despar Italia, assuming a strategic role in growing the brand nationwide. Gianni Cavalieri has been a guide and a model for all those who have worked with him. With his passion and ability to transfer knowledge and experience, he has contributed to the professional and personal growth of employees.
