STRASBOURG (FRANCE) (ITALPRESS) – “Next year the Conference of Presidents of Parliaments of the Council of Europe will be hosted by the Italian Parliament, in the Chamber and Senate. Our goal will be to replicate the excellent organization we saw in Strasbourg. I am convinced that it will also be a new and valuable opportunity to deepen the many insights offered by these days.” This was announced by House Speaker Lorenzo Fontana at the close of the work session of the European Conference of Speakers of Parliaments this morning at the Palais d’Europe in Strasbourg. It was since 1975, the first edition of the meeting, that the conference had not been held in Italy. Fontana, on behalf of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, invited all the Presidents of the Parliaments involved to the 2026 meeting, in Rome.
