Versilia Horse Show presented, Di Paola “Outstanding and ambitious event”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – The Bussoladomani Park in Lido di Camaiore will host the Longines Versilia Horse Show, the new top-level international horse show jumping competition (CSI4*) scheduled in Italy, from May 9 to 11, presented in Rome at the Foro Italico Tennis Bar.

The event was conceived and organized by the Italian Champions Tour in co-partnership with FISE, Verona fiere and Sport and Health, with the support of the Ministry of Sport and Longines, with Giorgio Armani as main partner and the patronage of the province of Lucca and the municipality of Camaiore. An event “that I would like to characterize with two adjectives: exceptional and ambitious,” explains FISE President Marco Di Paola. “Exceptional because it sees an extremely important public-private partnership. Ambitious because it does not want to stop at this stage but wants to look ahead and challenge a highlight event such as Piazza di Siena, until it becomes, together with the Fieracavalli World Cup stage in Verona, one of the top events on the international equestrian sports scene.”

The three days of competitions will take place on courses designed by Uliano Vezzani, one of the world’s best-known chefs de piste: surrounding the competitions, which will see the participation of the most important international riders, will be various events including the presentation of high-end products and meetings with prominent personalities. Also present at the conference was Head of the Department for Sport Flavio Siniscalchi: “This event interprets what Minister Abodi’s objectives are, first and foremost the promotion of psychophysical wellbeing through sports practice,” he explained. “In addition, events of this magnitude also create value: developing the country’s economy through sports is another of the most important missions we have before us, without neglecting the need to implement grassroots sports.

“We are pleased to be able to add this event to the chain of sporting events taking place in Italy in which Sport and Health is a protagonist alongside the federation in many venues,” said Valeria Panzironi, director of strategies, development projects and shared services at Sport and Health, on the other hand. Our mission is to promote the practice of sports, and one of the ways of dissemination is precisely the sports event, which brings young people and the whole public closer together, especially when it is held in iconic places, as in this case.”
