ITA Airways celebrates the new link from Rome Fiumicino to Mauritius

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Yesterday evening at 22:00 from Rome Fiumicino the first direct flight of ITA Airways to the airport Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam of Mauritus, an important milestone for the company that introduces two weekly connections between Rome and the pearl of the Indian Ocean, operated with Airbus A330-900. The new link will have this operation: departure from Rome Fiumicino on Friday and Sunday at 22:00 arriving at Mauritius at 11:20 on the next day. Departure from Mauritius on Saturday and Monday at 22:10 and arrival in Rome Fiumicino 06:40 of the next day.

The new link is a fundamental stage for ITA Airways and one of the strengths of the 2025–2026 winter season, during which the Company operates a total of 53 destinations including 16 nationals, 21 international and 16 intercontinental. Among the highlights of the winter season are the resumption of the Rome Fiumicino-Malé (Maldive) connection from 19 December 2025, daily until 6 January, followed by three weekly flights (four to February) until Easter; the increase of the frequencies on Bangkok (from five to seven weekly frequencies from 8 December 2025) and the increase of flights on Buenos Aires, with ten weekly frequencies between 16 December 2025 and 9 January 2026.
