Alcaraz surpasses Sinner and returns #1, the primate in palio in Turin

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Superpass and contrasorpass, waiting for the verdict of Turin. The new Atp ranking published where – in light of the loss of the points of the Atp Finals last year – Carlos Alcaraz returned number 1 of the world with 11.050 points, climbing Jannik Sinner, now second to 10,000 points. The two will compete for the number 1 end of the year in Turin this week: because the South Tyrolean resumes the command must win the undefeated tournament, but the Spanish won’t win another match in the group and won’t arrive in the final. Sinner can also afford a defeat in the first stage but at that point he should win the Atp Finals and hope that Alcaraz will be eliminated with only success against De Minaur yesterday.

As for the rest of the Top Ten, Taylor Fritz slips back of two places and is sixth (same points among other things De Minaur seventh), overtaken by Novak Djokovic and Ben Shelton, with Jack Draper returning to tenth place, behind Felix Auger-Aliassime and Lorenzo Musetti, stable in ninth position and only 5 points from the Canadian. Speaking of blues, the chart unchanged for Flavio Cobolli (22°) and Luciano Darderi (26°), while the results of Metz push on Lorenzo Sonego (the semifinal is a +3, now is 39°) and Matteo Berrettini (thanks to the quarters makes a leap forward of seven places and is 56°).
