Fire in the outskirts of Rome in a busy building. A red-coded wound, jumped from the top floors to escape the flames

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – A man was rescued and is in red code in the hospital, after a fire developed in an abandoned building and then occupied in Tor Sapienza, on the eastern outskirts of Rome. The property is a refuge at 150 – 200 homeless. The alarm was taken around 7:20. On the spot, in via Cesare Tallone, several teams of the fire department are operating.

The structure, occupied, was evacuated. Emergency operations and verification of the presence in the structure of any persons involved are underway. Firefighters are bringing out people with the autoscale: a man to rescue himself jumped from one of the high floors, wounded he was transported in red code to the hospital Sandro Pertini.
