ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Dacia is present in the C-SUV segment with an unusual offer, Bigster, a model that carries forward the values of the House – at the same time, Essential and Cool, Eco-Smart, Robusta and with an outdoor vocation – adapting to the specific needs of customers of an increasingly competitive segment.
New offer on the market, Bigster includes all the essential equipment required by customers in the C-SUV segment, focusing on comfort and convenience, with a wide range of equipment available depending on the level of equipment. A dynamic concept of essentiality, which led the brand to offer on Bigster unpublished features, precisely because considered indispensable by customers of this segment. This is an example of adaptive Cruise Control, driver’s seat electrically adjustable or induction smartphone charger. The C-SUV segment imposes high standards even at the level of comfort on board, to which Dacia Bigster responds with some new features such as the bi-zone automatic air conditioning, the keyless entry system, an internal habitability at the highest levels even in the rear seats and a volume of the trunk that reaches 612 liters.
With Bigster mild hybrid-G 140, Dacia makes technological innovation, offering for the first time a motorization that combines bifuel power and 48 V mild-hybrid system. The latter assists the 1.2-litre turbo engine – regardless of whether it goes to gasoline or GPL – in the start and acceleration phase, optimizing driving pleasure and efficiency. Also in this motorization the regenerative braking allows to recharge the battery of 0,84 KWh by further optimizing efficiency and autonomy.
When powered by GPL, Bigster mild hybrid-G 140 emits CO2 quantities on average of 10% lower than the equivalent non-hybrid gasoline engines. It offers up to 1.450 km of autonomy thanks to the presence of two tanks for a total capacity of 100 liters of fuel (50 liters of gasoline and 50 liters of GPL). The transfer from one fuel to the other takes place quickly and imperceptible thanks to the switch perfectly integrated in the bridge. Stayed under the boot floor, the GPL tank does not reduce the load volume. Dacia, the only manufacturer to offer bifuel gasoline/GPL motorization on the whole range, 100% electric models excluded, exceeded the million GPL vehicles sold since 2010.
Brand is a European GPL leader with a market share of more than 67% in the first quarter of 2025. Today this motorization has conquered about 40% of its customers, to prove that it is a proven technology, easy to use and economic, able to respond to the needs of customers. In Italy, four Dacia out of five customers choose GPL motorization.
