MODENA (ITALPRESS) – A week of extraordinary celebrations for the Trident March and the city of Modena has just ended. From 5 to 9 November, in fact, a rich calendar of events accompanied the return to the historic establishment of Viale Ciro Menotti of the production of the Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio range, in all their versions. The week opened with an exclusive soirèe at the Teatro Comunale di Modena Pavarotti-Freni, where the concept “Maserati Meccanica Lirica” took place through an immersive experience that combined art, music and mechanics. In collaboration with Sonus faber, Main Partner of the initiative, the curtain rose on a unique show, in which the story of Turandot intertwined with that of the Trident, transforming every theater space into an integral part of the story. The Modena Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Hirofumi Yoshida, performed the most famous arias of the puccinian opera until the culminating moment of the “Nessun dorma”, when, on the words “His name is Love”, the Maserati Mechanical GranTurismo Lirica One-Off was unveiled.
The scene has changed once again thanks to the music of the composer Dardust, who has reinterpreted the Italian operatic heritage in a contemporary way, merging classical and electronic suggestions. In this scenario of emotion and wonder, the new campaign video dedicated to GranTurism and GranCabrio, shot entirely in Modena and in the surrounding area, was projected in a visual story that celebrates the link between the city, music and the unmistakable sound of the cars of the Trident. The evening ended with an exclusive dinner in the Ridotto del Teatro, signed by star chef Massimo Bottura, ambassador of Modena excellence and interpreter of a kitchen that, like Maserati, combines tradition, innovation and attention to detail.
The next day, the attention moved to the Maserati plant in Modena, where the ribbon was cut from the new assembly line of GranTurismo and GranCabrio, in the presence of the institutions, the international press and the top management of the Casa del Tridente. The guests were able to discover the novelties of the production site and witness the reveal of the Maserati GranTurismo Meccanica Lirica One-Off and Maserati GranCabrio Meccanica Lirica One-Off, told directly by the artisans and engineers who made it. In the afternoon, the visit continued in the Collection Maserati Umberto Panini, where the brand celebrated its history and its technical and cultural heritage.
On weekends, Maserati opened its doors to 100 customers from all over Europe and members of the Maserati Club Italia for Tridente Experience, a two-day passion and excellence.
On Saturday, November 8, the very central Piazza Roma has received a selection of 50 Brand cars – including a Maserati GT Spyder 3500 of 1959 has distinguished itself to be the oldest car present – while at the Teatro Comunale guests were able to attend the tests of the Modena Orchestra. Subsequently, in the Maserati factory, there was an exclusive exhibition by Roberto Bolle, E’toile del Teatro alla Scala in Milan and friend of Brand, which has enchanted with a performance inspired by the choreography “Waves”, already presented at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi. It all ended with an exclusive dinner curated by Massimo Bottura and a sound experience signed by the composer Dardust.
On Sunday, November 9, the city became an open-air museum with a parade of 60 historical and contemporary Maserati that crossed Modena to the Panini Museum.
The parade of the cars of the past saw two Ghibli from the 1990s, a Sebring and an Indy, while, among contemporary cars, the exclusive MC20 Maserati for Maserati was distinguished, a unique specimen made thanks to the Fuoriserie customization program for the grandchildren of Ettore Maserati, founder of the Italian brand in 1914 along with the brothers Alfieri and Ernesto.
After the stop at the Panini Museum, the parade ended at the Autodromo di Modena, where customers could experience the emotion of the track with test drive and hot laps on board the super sports of the Tridente house, including GT2 Stradale and GranTurismo equipped with the new exhaust system to enhance the sound.
At the same time, the city paid tribute to the Marchio with a large “urban domination”, which involved symbolic places such as the Albinelli Market, the Portico of the Collegio San Carlo and the streets of the center, decorated with installations, panels and projections dedicated to the Trident. Modena has thus reiterated its connection with Maserati, adopting the motto “Modena, Città della Maserati” and welcoming in its streets some special cars in yellow and blue livery, the colors of the city, with details inspired by the pentagram and the symbol of the Trident.
In short, “Maserati Meccanica Lirica” represented not only a series of celebratory events but a declaration of identity and a tangible sign of the company’s will to continue investing in this territory, enhancing excellence, skills and creativity. Here, where mechanics has a melody and music has a character, Maserati finds his voice: the authentic Trident, which continues to resonate in the world its unmistakable sound of Italian style and luxury.
