COP 30 of the climate, ICSC enters the MASE Partnership Platform and UN-Habitat

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – On the occasion of the COP 30 of the climate, at the Italian Pavilion – in the presence of the Executive Director of UN-Habitat, Annaclàudia Rossbach and MASE with General Director Alessandro Guerri – the Institute for Sports and Cultural Credit (ICSC), represented by CEO and General Manager Antonella Baldino – joins the Partnership Platform on Localizing the SDG.

Signed in New York in 2025, jointly promoted by MASE and UN-Habitat, the Partnership Platform builds on the experience of multi-level involvement and governance adopted by MASE in the implementation paths of the National Sustainable Development Strategy. Beware of the role of sport, an integral part of its foundation, the Partnership Platform is a global initiative, designed to give space and voice to the territories and their sustainable development paths.

Operationally, the Partnership Platform operates as a framework for strategic and innovative reforms, providing support to the various levels of government towards the identification of strategic and instrumental projects to turn the 2030 Agenda into reality. The ICSC, the only Italian bank of promotion and development dedicated to sport and culture, joins an international community that is growing committed to economic development, sustainability and social inclusion. The Partnership Platform, which had already joined the International Olympic Committee, strengthens with ICSC its activity for the benefit of the integration of sport in the local sustainable development paths, adding the perspective and experience of an actor who has made sustainable finance its own specificity.

Undersecretary Claudio Barbaro: “The Partnership Platform brings together national governments and local authorities, also looking at sports organizations and development partners, with the same objective of promoting a truly integrated multi-level governance — capable of connecting policies, investments and actions. Through the Partnership we will help to ensure that sport can be a local, inclusive, sustainable development engine, oriented to the involvement of young generations and the promotion of healthier lifestyles. In this sense, we are particularly pleased to welcome the Istituto per il Credito Sportivo e Culturale the Italian bank of promotion and development dedicated exclusively to Sport and Culture that, together with the International Olympic Committee, has become an official partner of our initiative”.

“Sustainability is born in the territories, where development policies meet the concrete needs of people and communities, said Antonella Baldino, CEO of the Institute for Sport and Cultural Credit. We share with MASE the belief that only through solid partnerships and an integrated vision can transform global commitments into local results. As a development bank, we orientate sustainable finance to support the growth of sport and culture, areas capable of generating social cohesion, innovation and urban regeneration. Through the Partnership Platform, we will contribute to transform the objectives of Agenda 2030 into tangible actions, supporting projects with high impact and bringing together our experience at the service of communities and territories.”.
