ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “There is another Italy to discover, Welcome to Meraviglia”: is the new campaign of valorisation and promotion of the Ministry of Tourism at the main Italian stations, dedicated to the lesser known places and the smaller islands, starring the Venus on the road.
The initiative, carried out through the network of Big Retail Stations, aims to highlight the less-known destinations, showing on the screens of the 14 main Italian railway hubs images of smaller villages and islands that enrich the tourist offer of Belpaese.
From “Open To Meraviglia” to “Welcome to Wonder”, the message of welcome in Italy is realized on a journey that, starting from the train, promises unexpected surprises and dream places. The Venus del Botticelli now becomes the protagonist of a story that, until 31 December 2025, will invite tourists and passengers to rediscover our artistic, cultural and landscape heritage through an authentic, slow and conscious journey, rediscovering, in beauty, a sense of belonging and future.
Italy seen from the window of a train or from the bridge of a ferry turns a dream trip to discover “all another Italy”. In particular, Roma Termini and Milano Centrale stations will host an area dedicated to the initiative, offering an immersive and interactive experience enriched by images and videos of villages, smaller islands, internal areas and lesser known locations.
Visitors will be able to share their participation on social media of italia.it and receive personalized gadgets. The two spaces of “engagement” will also promote the websites of italia.it, both in the version of the official portal of Italian tourism and in the one destined to the operators of the “trade”, enhancing the opportunities and information useful for all actors of offer and demand.
“The Ministry of Tourism is committed to giving visibility and support to villages, small municipalities, smaller islands and internal areas of a unique nation in the world for its varied and enjoyable tourist offer in any season – says the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè –. Every year, the great Italian stations generate 775 million visits, of which 20% foreign, covering a strategic role not only in terms of transport, but also to tell the most authentic Italy”.
