ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Minister of Tourism Daniela Santanchè met with the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport of Albania Blendi Gonxhja visiting Rome on the occasion of the Intergovernmental Summit Italy-Albania scheduled today.

The “sustainable and diversified tourism” is one of the areas of bilateral strategic cooperation identified in the Framework Agreement signed today by the President of the Council and Prime Minister Rama in a Framework Agreement. The Agreement provides for the collaboration for the promotion of sustainable tourism, inclusive and diversified, on the basis of Italian experience, as well as support for the development of the tourist potential of both countries such as destinations throughout the year, in areas such as the valorisation of cultural heritage and rural tourism and agritourism.

During the meeting the two ministers also reiterated the importance of collaboration between the destinations of the Adriatic-Ionian and Balkan Region and discussed the operational follow-up to the proposals that emerged at the Forum on Tourism Italy – Balkan last July.
