BRUSSELS (BELGIUM) (ITALPRESS) – The European Commission has opened an infringement procedure against Italy on the use of golden power. Brussels invites Italy to comply with EU banking legislation.
“The Commission raises objections to the so-called Golden Power rule, reformed in 2022 with the Draghi government. On the basis of the judgments, we will respond to the findings that are sent to us in the competent offices. We shall make a constructive and collaborative proposal that will clarify and overcome objections. We are convinced that it will allow you to have a framework of shared skills.” The Minister of Economics and Finance Giancarlo Giorgetti declares this against the opening of the infringement procedure on Golden Power.
