ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Carabinieri of Rome Parioli have performed an order of arrest for 18 people. The investigation, directed by the Prosecutor of the Republic of Rome, has allowed to gather evidence regarding the existence of a criminal group, composed of persons of Roma ethnicity, gravitating at the nomadic field of Via dei Gordiani. They are accused for various reasons, of being responsible for at least 46 episodes established between thefts and robberies, in addition, in some cases, to the related crimes of kidnapping person, fence, damage and fire. Despite the arrests of the Carabinieri themselves, carried out during the investigation, to curb the dangerous wake of recorded violence, the inquiries reorganized with extreme speed, recruiting new levers.
The abductors in the house, having a particular social alarm, have often seen elderly people, awakened above, or surprised while watching TV, threatened – in a circumstance even with a gun – and forced to hand over everything they possessed, mostly in afternoon or evening hours. In contrast, some of the inquiries are accused of thefts in damage of commercial exercises such as games rooms or tobacco bars.
During the blows the inquisitors remained in constant telephone contact allowing the Carabinieri who intercepted them to listen in the background also the strange voices and screams of the defenseless victims. During the investigation, serious evidence emerged regarding the fact that some blows had been organized in detail with the telephone direction of a man of Roma ethnicity, held at the Roman prison of Regina Coeli.
