Sequestered to Rome 130 kg of cocaine, in 8 in handcuffs

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The financiers of the Provincial Command of Rome are carrying out an order of precaution in prison against 8 people, for the hypothesis of association crime aimed at illicit trafficking of narcotic substances. The precautionary measure, issued by the G.I.P. of the local Tribunal, constitutes the epilogue of investigations coordinated by the D.D.A. and carried out by the Investigation Group Organized Crime (G.I.C.O.) of the Nucleo di Polizia Economico-Finanziaria of Rome, in whose scope were collected serious clues of guilt against a sodalizio organized and promoted by an Albanian subject.

The import activity on the Italian territory was ensured by a chapter cell of the criminal group, known by a hierarchical-functional organization, which provided for the reception of the matches transported by the couriers, to the management of storage deposits (located in Rome) and lastly to the sorting on squares of capitline spaccio (also for other criminal groups) in the Borghesiana, Pigneto, Spinaceto, Spacchio.

To this end, they used Italian couriers and the collaboration of the owner of a dealership for the installation of vehicles with special doubles to be used for the transport of cocaine matches. In the course of the investigations experiential activities have been documented illicit afferent to a quantity of more than 210 kg of cocaine (of which 130 kg subjected to seizure), for a commercial value of approximately 1 million euros, which led to the arrest in scourgency of 3 subjects, an Italian and two Albanians.
