Brignone finds skiing: “It’s a starting point, but there’s still so much to do”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “It was a perfect day to go skiing, with winter conditions and close to home”. At a distance of 237 days from the fall remedied to the Absolutes of last April 3 that provoked the fracture of the tibial plate and the head of the peron of the left leg, Federica Brignone started the work on track. For the Valdostana champion two days on the snow of Cervinia which marked his return on the skis, further step towards complete healing.

“I am very happy to have skied again, there are many positive things but there is still so much to do – tells the Fisi channels the twice winner of the Alpine Ski World Cup – let’s say it is a first taste, not a point of arrival but of departure. At first I was a little bit ingested, lap after lap I found a good feeling, it seemed to have never stopped skiing, I felt the leg react, contact with snow and slipping was a nice feeling. It’s something good to go back to my tool at this point, after almost eight months, although we know that we have to grow further. In a few days we will go back on track to explore, skiing is another thing compared to the work in the gym, especially if we consider the corners, twists and pressures we need to ski at high level, we will try to go hand in hand with athletic preparation”.
