If our Western partners – we call them “partners” again – they want it now, then go ahead, we are ready. But we both understand that we must sit down and discuss it seriously; every word counts. Or, for example, one of the documents states that we should solve the issue of strategic stability with our American partners. For the love of God, are we against? We have proposed this, and we have even proposed to reach an agreement with the Obama administration on some issues – says Putin. We heard a “yes, yes”, and then, a month before the Obama administration left the White House, everything went out. Now another treaty, the New START, expires in February. If they don’t want to do anything, then they don’t. But from these documents we have seen that, overall, there is a desire to review these issues. Each of these questions is a very serious matter. We are certainly ready for this serious discussion. An American delegation is scheduled for next week in Moscow.”.
